NEW YORK — The U.S. Postal Service today honored Linda McCartney (1941–1998), with a pane of stamps featuring her still life and landscape images. McCartney had a multifaceted career as a photographer, musician, cookbook author and animal rights activist who was a pivotal figure in the vegetarianism movement. A dedication ceremony for the stamps was held today at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
NORFOLK, VA — The U.S. Postal Service continues its tradition of celebrating Kwanzaa, the pan-African holiday observed each year from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1, with a new stamp dedicated today at the 111th annual conference of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History.
INDIANA — The U.S. Postal Service will observe Independence Day on Saturday, July 4. All Post Office locations will be closed. Regular mail delivery and retail services will resume on Monday, July 6. Post Offices will be open, and deliveries will occur as normal on Friday, July 3.

Effective November 1, 2026, the Postal Service™ will revise Labeling List(s) L001, L007, L012, L201, and L606 to reflect changes in mail processing operations. Mailers are expected to label according to these revised lists for mailings inducted on or after the November 1, 2026, effective date through December 31, 2026, expiration date. The changes will be published in the Postal Bulletin, Issue #22713.
